— The studio
We are a twelve-person studio based in Lisbon and Mexico City, founded in 2017 by Inês Vidal and Tomás Rivera. We design residential and small commercial interiors with a biophilic point of view — meaning every project starts with daylight, air, and how the space can sustain real plant life year-round.
We work closely with botanists, ceramicists, and small fabricators across Portugal and Mexico. Most of what you see in our projects is made within 100km of the site.
We take on roughly eight projects a year. We say no to a lot.
Every floor plan is tested against the path of the sun across all four seasons before a single piece of furniture is specified.
Every project includes a planting scheme designed by our in-house botanist — chosen for the room's actual conditions.
Stone, ceramics, textiles, and joinery are sourced from small workshops we visit personally each year.
We choose materials that get more beautiful with use. Patina, not perfection.
